2 PEOPLE, 2 STEAKS, A WHOLE LOT OF GORGING
Nadder bought two tuna steaks (sushi grade), so we made "some" sushi and "some" nigiri. Look, it's just a little bit.
Holy crap! How are two people supposed to finish so much food? We gave it an honest try, and ate all but one nigiri and maybe a dozen rolls. Stuffed out of our minds. High five, Nads.

beautiful! ok. but here's where you went wrong. sashimi, not nigiri! all that rice, taking up room in the stomach! though the nigiri are so lovely looking.

Yes, should avoid the rice altogether. This is like eating at the Bellagio buffet and putting bread on your plate. We call it "filler". I drool at the cuisine you have created though.
Yes, I know I know. that is in fact what we ended up doing -- peeling the tuna off the rice and just eating that. But the rice had already done enough damage...
wow. As someone who lived in Japan for 4 years and NEVER ONCE attempted sushi for fear of being found dead of food poisoning alone in their apartment I salute this effort.
